about iNN-ES

Designed with longevity in mind.

Founder Innes Gourlay-Noor is an award winning textile designer who looks to create lasting, meaningful designs that convey stories and heritage through the lens of hand screen and digitally printed textiles. A main point of inspiration for Innes is the heritage of Scottish and Malaysian textiles and the rich industries of hand craft that have and still do exist. In small and dying quantities due to fast paced, profit first manufacturing.

Through her textiles Innes wants to create an homage to her ethnicity and cultural crafts that are dying out, whilst innovating designs to bring them into a modern light. Innes is always designing for the future and with purpose, with everything she creates sustainability and how printing processes can affect the environment.

By not only taking inspiration from heritage textiles, Innes creates textiles that are meant to last and be used again and again in a diversity of fashion or interior contexts.
