Celebrating the Memory of High Sunderland.
This project stemmed from High Sunderland and the studio and how it juxtaposed the soft curves of models and Bernat Kleins clothes in the fashion photoshoots and cocktail parties. Harnessing the energy and sophistication of these events and transforming them into digital prints, High Sunderland was a hub for creatives and was full of energy, Klein also made sure everything in the house was considered and aesthetically pleasing, however, when these events took place champagne bottles and flutes were placed at whim, I wanted to harness this nostalgic and longing atmosphere of almost empty glasses and create a celebration of his legacy.
The idea of something imperfectly placed amongst strict and straight lines of the architecture was inspirational, taking on the use of over layering and looking closer just as Bernat Klein did with colour, to convey this wistfulness and commemorative energy.
